Almost there...

The gate was left opened today but unfortunately no one was onsite. This meant we were pretty much limited to the exterior and peeping through the windows. Seems like the site has been cleaned out and I can't imagine what else is still outstanding (apart from the obvious garage doors, air con and hot water unit that are still missing).

Cedar Cladding

A bit hard to tell from this photo, but the fly screens are installed. You'll noticed it more clearly on the other photos below. The sleek looking alarm was a surprise considering we never got a choice of where to have it placed. Was a little worried that there'll be an ugly box somewhere.

Garage

Only one Ethernet port in the garage, so it seems like all the data points are being terminated in the study. Don't remember asking for that but I guess the home router would prefer to be there then neglected here.

Alfresco

I find it odd that some rooms the electrician only bothered to put one batten light holder and in others, they decided to put all four. No consistency at all. Guess they figured we were going to switch them out to downlights after handover and got lazy. Probably works out better for us this way. Just wished they would have done this throughout the house.

Looking Right

Hard to notice, but the exterior light points were done. Now comes the hard part of shopping around for a light fitting. Have absolutely no idea what style would go with the house.

The rain water tank was originally meant to be behind the house but somehow it got moved to the side. Which was why we asked for it to be done in dune. The idea was that it was going to match the cladding above the alfresco and not be a big block of darkness out of no where. Kind of look like unfinished work now, but at least it's tucked away on the side. You know what they say, out of sight, out of mind. At least they painted the meter box.

Kitchen Island

This is the best picture I have of the mixer tap and the water filter. With the long weekend upon us, and I know most people in the industry also like to take the three days off in the next week as well, I doubt there be much progress for a while.
